Bien, en Chile la Navidad es una fiesta en general que se celebra con la familia. Es muy distinto diría acá Estados Unidos, porque no hay nieve. En Chile en esa época ya estamos en verano. Toda la gente vive en función de en esos días de Navidad. La gente anda corriendo comprando regalos. Pero bueno lo más bonito de estas fiesta que... es una de las pocas oportunidades que ofrece en el año diría de la mayoría de la gente de Santiago sobretodo, de reunirse y compartir con la familia.

Well, in Chile Christmas is a party that is celebrated with family. It's quite different from here in the United States, I would say, because there isn't any snow. In Chile at this time of year we are in the middle of summer. Everybody's activities center around Christmas at this time. People run around buying gifts. But the best part of these parties is that it is one of the few opportunities that you have during the year where the majority of the people in Santiago especially are able to get with family and share time with them.

Tengo dos hijos. Uno de 23 años y la niña de 19. César, el niño se llama César. Bueno yo le digo niño, que ya no es tan niño. A César le gustan mucho los deportes, le gusta mucho nadar, ¿Que más? ...otros gustos... bueno es muy deportista. Y Dulce es más tranquila, le gusta mucho la danza, pero no la ejercita como debería ser. En la escuela es lo único.

I have two children. One is 23 years old and the younger one is 19. César, the boy is named César. Well, I say child, but he isn't so much a child any more. César likes to play sports and he likes to swim. What else, other things he likes, well, he is very athletic. And Dulce is calmer, she likes dance but she doesn't practice like she should, just at school.
