El carnaval de Bolivia, concretamente de la ciudad de Oruro porque como Bolivia tiene nueve departamentos, en los otros departamentos también tienen sus diferentes carnavales. Pero la relevancia del carnaval de Oruro es que hace dos años nosotros- se ha declarado al carnaval como patrimonio oral e intangible de la humanidad por la UNESCO. Yo amo mi carnaval, es más, yo cada año he estado bailando en mi carnaval en diferentes conjuntos folclóricos. Pero como ya llevo en los Estados Unidos dos años no he podido ir a bailar; extraño mucho. Una de las danzas que más, que más, que más me gusta es- son los “tobas”. Es una danza muy ágil donde uno tiene que estar danzando sin parar, es una danza de saltos. Y la ropa que uno lleva es algo ligero, muy sexy. También otra de las danzas que me gusta es la “morenada”. Es una danza lenta pero muy coqueta. Con referencia a otra danza… la “diablada” que es la tradicional, que hace referencia al satanás, al diablo de las minas, donde tenemos ahí a las diablesas, tenemos al ángel, tenemos a los osos, tenemos al cóndor que es una danza también ágil pero muy diferente a las demás. para todas las personas que me ven, yo quisiera que visiten mi carnaval en la ciudad de Oruro, Bolivia.

Mi familia es muy pequeña. Tengo…o sea está compuesta solo por mi esposa, mi hijo Médar y yo. Tengo una hija que vive con su madre en Miami y ya tiene diecisiete años. Pero mi esposa y yo, los dos somos estudiantes de postgrado de literatura hispanoamericana. Bueno, yo de literatura hispanoamericana, ella de literatura medieval española. Los dos tenemos más o menos los mismos intereses en el sentido de que nos gusta la literatura. Queremos escribir, publicar. De hecho ya hemos publicado. Yo tengo dos libros de poesía publicados y uno un tercero que está en proceso. Ella publicó un libro hace algunos dos años. La idea de haber venido a hacer el doctorado en Austin es dedicarnos luego a la enseñanza a nivel universitario. Además de eso bueno pues tenemos en común la educación de nuestro hijo Médar. Es algo que nos cuesta ir aprendiendo a medida que el va, que el crece ¿no?
My family is very small. I have… I mean it consists of my wife, my son Médar and me. I have a daughter that lives with her mother in Miami and she is already seventeen. Hola de nuevo, soy Cristina, y os voy a hablar de mi casa. Yo vivo en el sur de España y vivo en una casa con un jardín precioso lleno de flores y es una casa típica andaluza. Tiene la fachada color blanco, el tejado es color arena, anaranajado, entras adentro de la casa y tenemos un salón muy amplio con la televisión tenemos también un comedor, una chimenea, una gran chimenea que nos sirve para mantenernos cálidos o calientes durante el tiempo del invierno. A continuación tenemos una zona donde están todos los dormitorios tenemos tres dormitorios, uno para cada uno de los hermanos, el cuarto de mis padres y tenemos tres cuartos de baños. También tenemos una cocina muy amplia llena de todo tipo de recuerdos de nuestros viajes a otros países. También la casa tiene un espacio para la zona del servicio es decir para las personas, o la persona que afortunadamente limpia la casa. Es una casa preciosa en un lugar privilegiado en medio de la naturaleza y yo la adoro.
Hello again, I am Cristina, and I'm going to speak to you about my house. I live in the south of Spain and I live in a house with a beautiful garden full of flowers and it's a typical Andalusian house. It has a white façade, the tile is sand colored, orange, you enter inside of the house and we have a very ample living room with the television. We also have a dining room, a fireplace, a big fireplace that helps keep us warm during the wintertime. Continuing on we have an area where all of the bedrooms are. We have three bedrooms, one for each of my siblings, my parents' room and we have three bathrooms. We also have a very large kitchen full of all kinds of souvenirs from our travels abroad. The house also has a space for the service area. That is, for the people, or the person, that fortunately cleans the house. It's a beautiful house in a privileged place in the middle of mother nature and I love it.
