I took classes here for several weeks and am planning to return to Buenos Aires in a few months for more language study. When I'm back I'll study Spanish with a different school. There wasn't anything blatantly wrong with Latin Immersion, my teacher was very sweet and made a real effort to do a great job, but I think the overall methodology didn't focus nearly enough on conversation (I was in an upper intermediate class) and we never talked about anything related to Argentina. I didn't find the atmosphere to be all that welcoming and basically just think my money could have been better spent elsewhere. I stayed in an apartment with a friend but I think people were generally happy with their homestays, except for the fact that the school seemed to pocket quite a large percentage of the homestay cost.
Evaluation from nkafka:
I think fellow reviewers have been a bit harsh of this school. It's maybe not the best value school (course or homestay), but they're v. professional, extremely friendly, and they organise lots of things to do (trips, excursions, events) so you're never bored. Seems particularly popular with the US crowd.
Evaluation from feifei431:
This school was one of the bigger and more expensive ones in BsAs. I had a lot of fun there because the social activities and outings are well-organized - there is something to do almost every night of the week! I made friends quickly and easily thru this school, but I didn´t learn the best Spanish there in my group classes. The group classes are structured, but my teacher didn´t do a good job facilitating discussion between classmates, as everyone was on a different level. However, I had a great experience with my private teacher - I´d recommend taking private lessons as well as group lessons. Overall a good experience but very pricey...
