I had the incredible chance of studying at the ISP for seven weeks last march-april. When I started, I already had an intermediate level. I’ve worked individually with several different teachers, all very competent, each of them bringing a unique aspect to the teaching. We’ve approached a thousand interesting subjects using varied ways such as readings, writings, games, conversations, audios and videos. I also participated in different organized activities, like visiting Quito’s Old Town, assisting festivals and celebrations and cooking typical food. It is also possible to go to places such as Mindo for a weekend excursion. What make the Instituto Superior de Español the best school to learn the language is the professors dynamism, as well as the director advice and the convivial atmosphere amongst the students. The family with which I lived was also very special and kind; all of the members made me feel just like I was at home. I’m so grateful to everyone of them, I’ve improved my speaking much more than I would’ve thought and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a complete immersion.

We studied spanish for one week at the Instituto Superior de Español in Quito during April 2013 and were very impressed. The school was clean, organized and very efficient. Our teachers were very pleasant, always friendly and enthusiastic. The student : teacher ratio was very small (1:1 or 2:1) so the classes were pretty intense. This is certainly not the place to spend a few hours lazing about and perhaps pick up a few words of Spanish, nope, these folks really want you to LEARN! Because there was a statutory holiday during the week we were there we had to cram 5 morning lessings into only 4 days. That meant 5 hours of lessons with only one 20 minute break in the middle - not for the faint of heart! Tough but effective. And the staff went out of their way not only to make our learning experience as effective as possible but also to help with our other travel arrangements in any way that they could. They did everything from pick us up at the airport to organize taxis and hotels in other towns. The staff at the school certainly take their jobs very seriously and are keen to have the students advance as much as possible over their short stay. Overall our experience at the school was top-notch and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spanish language school in Ecuador. We'd definitely like to return in the future, hopefully for 3 or 4 weeks of lessons instead of just one. If we do though we'll likely go to the school in Otavalo for at least part of the time. Quito is a big city and we're not big city folks so after a week we were quite glad to go elsewhere. We really enjoyed our subsequent visit to Otavalo and thought it would be a nice place to stay for a few weeks. Since the school also has a location in Otavalo it would be perfect!

I participated in a 10-day "travel and study" experience which was fabulous! Traveling with my own teacher, and another student and her teacher, we traveled from Quito down to Cuenca. We studied about four hours per day and either traveled or explored our new location the rest of the day. A wonderful experience and highly recommended.

I'm very satisfied with the Instituto Superior de Espanol Spanish School. Great teachers, great accomodation in host family :)

After three Spanish courses at the Spanish School I can say that, without doubt, it is the best school of Spanish in Quito and maybe even in whole Ecuador. The teachers are highly trained and available and the lessons are interesting, fun and useful. Special thanks to professor Tania ... she does her job professionally and wholeheartedly... loved it!!!

Sehr tolle Sprachschule! Hab 3 wochen dort verbracht und konnte mein Spanisch sehr gut verbessern. Hab in einer Gastfamilie gewohnt, die mich jeden Tag toll bekocht hat und mir geholfen hat in Ecuador zurecht zukommen! Hatte eine tolle Zeit, danke an Eugenio und das ganze Team!!

Never made a trip, which was that well organized. You're amazing Eugenio! Sorry for asking you hundrets of questions before traveling to Ecuador. But I finally did it, and it was amazing. I really enjoyed my time in Otavalo. It's such a lovely town and I felt much safer then in Quito. But I didn't hat enough time to visit Galapagos. That's sad :/ But maybe I'll come back next year. I had a great time at the school in Otavalo. Not only is the school one of the best in the area, the city is amazing as well. Because I improved my Spanish a lot and got to learn about the culture of Ecuador, I have the feeling I got everything out of my trip. It couldn´t have been any better. The classes are of high quality, the teachers are so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. The atmosphere in the school is really friendly and I felt welcome the whole time. I will definetely go back to learn more Spanish and to visit my Ecuadorian friends again! Laura

I had a great week at ISE learning Spanish in the mornings, seeing Quito in the afternoon and then practicing Spanish with my homestay family in the evenings. Immersion was very effective and I am much more confident in Spanish than I was before. Thank you for your time and hard work, for enjoyable lessons and also extra activities.
