Evaluation from fnwagner:
I learned another language and much, much more.
Evaluation from cejones:
The instructor was available, inviting, and opened up the classroom environment and made everyone feel comfortable.
Evaluation from lvngtx:
You should stay at the school residence: breakfast everyday, don't have to hike to class (homestays are across town) and 10+ new friends to hang out with. The staff and teachers were super nice. DO NOT USE the in-house travel agency. Our horseback riding guide sexually harassed us, all the horses were emaciated and kept stopping to eat. I'm not complaining but just know that the majority of the students and staff are Dutch.

Evaluation from margarita:
I had a great time! Learned a lot of Spanish, great teachers who really made me speak Spanish, nice atmosphere, good down town location, inhouse travel agency. Fellow students who stayed at the school residence were very happy , i was happy with my Peruvian family. I think it was good value for money.

I had a great time at Amauta Spanish School in Cusco. Not only is the school one of the best in the area, the city is amazing as well. Because I improved my Spanish a lot and got to learn about the culture of Peru, I have the feeling I got everything out of my trip. It couldn´t have been any better. The classes are of high quality, the teachers are so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. The atmosphere in the school is really friendly and I have welcome the whole time. I will definetely go back to learn more Spanish and to visit my Peruvian friends again!

I had a great experience in Amauta, the people were very nice and helped me planning al my trips. The classes were good, they didn´t only teach us the grammair but also talked about the culture and local things to do.
Evaluation from edsuit:
I studied here for three weeks, two in Cuzco and one week at one of their other locations in Taray. I had a really great time and I can recommend this school to anyone. The classes were good, especially because of the teachers, they were all very nice and skilled. They offered a good mix of grammar, vocabulary and conversation practice. We got some (copied) books but we hardly used them, so that could be improved on. The school's location is great, very close to the city center, and it's just a nice place. They organized some fun activities like salsa classes, cooking classes, music classes and movie nights. There is a free internet cafe, but when I was there (April 2009) the computers were really old, hardly usable. I stayed with a guest family which was a wonderful experience. I had also booked a transfer service from Lima to Cuzco, which was really good. The inhouse travel agency, Dos Manos, is ok. It's very convenient and the service is good, but it's not that cheap for reasonable quality. Made a trip to Lago Titicaca and Machu Picchu with them. The first was perfect, but a few things went wrong with the second (guide didn't show up, got train tickets for the wrong dates). But they handled it well.
Evaluation from Julia:
I had a great time at Amauta Spanish School in Cusco. The teachers are very professional and their classes are a lot of fun. My Spanish improved so much during my time here. I could even take Salsa classes at Amauta and we did many other nice free time activities, where we learned about the Peruvian cuisine, watched movies and so on. Due to all the facilities I got really easy in contact with other students, which is very nice. I can just recommend studying Spanish in Cusco with Amauta! It's a great place to be!
Evaluation from Lisa:
Everybody, if you really want to learn Spanish and you are in Cusco, go to the Amauta Spanish School! I have been to many schools in different countries, but Amauta is the most professional I have been to. The study material is perfect and teachers know exactly what to talk about according to the student’s level of Spanish. Learning Spanish in Cusco was a real experience for me, I did not think before that I could improve my Spanish so much in such a short time, thank you Amauta!
Evaluation from RebeccaArfwedson:
Amauta Spanish School in Peru gives you a lot of opportunities. You meet a lot of foreign people and make friends for life. When you are living in Cusco they are going to be your family. At nights there are a lot of activities at school and in the streets of Cusco as well. You can dance salsa, drink the most awesome beer – Cusqueña – and eat a 2 or 3 course menu for the price of a cheeseburger. The education is fun and different. You laugh a lot during your lessons and talk a lot more Spanish than you thought you were able to. After only one week you are going to feel a progress. And not to forget the surroundings: mighty mountains and a lot of ancient culture and history! Read more on my swedish blog if you're speaking the language: http//farawaybutsoclose.blogg.se
Evaluation from perrycraver:
I was a student for a number of weeks at the Amauta School in Cusco, and feel that my Spanish improved vastly due to the various techniques that the teachers use. They got us out onto the streets of Cusco during lesson time solely to speak Spanish with the local people. They also offer volunteering placements which help consolidate what you have learnt in lessons in a variety of projects that the school has. I can’t praise the teachers enough for their dedication and commitment to students as they joined in with a number of in-house celebrations whilst I was there. I absolutely loved my time there and feel like it´s the best place to learn Spanish in Cusco and in Peru.

I studied Spanish for 6 weeks in Cusco with AMAUTA and I really had the time of my life. I've met tons of people and I've seen amazing things. My group of friends in Cusco was amazing, it felt like we were friends for years when I left, but I'm sure I'll see some of them again. The classes were good as well. I really liked the fact that the teachers used various ways to teach us things. For example, with the help of songs and visiting markets. I also went one week to the Sacred Valley with the school, I recommend relaxing and studying in this place only an hour from Cusco. I stayed in a host family and in the residence. Both were very nice, but i preferred the host family, because being in a native family helps a lot with learning spanish. There's a lot to do near and in Cusco: you can visit tons of Inca ruins with Machu Picchu as a climax, you can easily do weekend trips to Arequipa, Puno and the Jungle and there're a lot of other thins to do in Cusco. Like markets, museums and visiting the only peruvian football club which won an international price: Cienciano. Also very important to me is that I never felt unsafe! I recommend the AMAUTA school to everybody and I promise you'll have a great time!
Evaluation from Katie_Jones:
AMAUTA is situated against a hill and has a nice view all over Cusco. The school has very good teachers, I was really impressed with the two we had last week. We laughed a lot during class and also went to the city center to practice our Spanish with the locals. In the evenings and afternoons AMAUTA organizes great activities for free. Tonight we have a salsa class! On Wednesday we went to a clinic for disabled children and that was very special – with just passing by we made the children very happy. I´m staying at a nice and sweet host family where I can practice my Spanish very well. Every day I can use more words and sentences.
Evaluation from Elle77:
A great experience! I would definitely recommend Amauta Spanish School, it is the perfect possibility to learn Spanish in South America. I did not only improve my language skills, but also experienced the Peruvian culture. The classes are interesting and excursions and other activities like cultural talks, movie nights, cooking classes and salsa lessons make it even better! . If you are thinking about learning Spanish abroad, Amauta Spanish School is the perfect choice!
