An experience that I will always remember! The educational travel programs are very well planned and professionally conducted.
Evaluation from KentuckyChica:
I attended Cemanahuac Comunidad Educativa for 2 weeks, in December of 2011. I also had a homestay with a warm and very lively Mexican family, who lived just a short walk away from the school. I attended classes with a couple of different language teachers, and also took a few short lessons in weaving from a Guatemalan artisan who taught weaving lessons at the school. I loved my time spent at this school and I loved Cuernavaca. I went there at Christmastime on purpose, to experience the holiday traditions in Mexico. Except for a very short bout of homesickness on Christmas Eve, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. I only wish it could have been longer! I left Cuernavaca on December 30, 1995, and I haven't been back to Mexico since, but I plan to renew my passport soon and go back. I would love to go back to Cuernavaca again, and brush up my Spanish a bit more. When I was there, they were using the Pido la palabra textbook series (excellent books), and I was in the 4th level book, but I am not sure whether I would test as high now, having been away from it for so long. I would like to correct one thing on your web site: it is that you show this school teaches "beginner- beginner" Spanish, but they actually give you a diagnostic test when you get there, to determine your level of Spanish, and will teach you accordingly, so it would be better to show this school as "beginner - superior", as they can and do teach all levels. The only drawback was there were no Mexicans learning English at the same school (at least there weren't in 1995), so I didn't meet any Mexican students while I was there, but I did get to know the teachers at the school, and I did a lot of things with the host family I stayed with. I also managed a day trip to Mexico City, the Museum of Anthropology and the pyramids, with some of the other American students taking lessons at the school. I registered with this school through the Amerispan agency, which I also recommend, for their fantastic customer service and travel support.

I moved to this school after trying Cuernavaca Language School which I didn't like. Cemanahuac was a better choice for me but still not exactly what I was looking for.

I learned a great deal of grammar and gained tremendous confidence in speaking.
