There is nothing real about what was announced on the Web site. I was very unhappy about the activities offered (none), the classroom (which is a two bed-room apratment in Playa del Carmen), no Internet, no student activities, you are left on your own. The owner lives in Mexico and does not come to PLya.
Evaluation from alessa81:
My family was very conveniently located 5 minutes walking from the school and the beach, due to the low season, there were only 3 students when i attended but my lessons were changed t private lessons at no additional cost.
Evaluation from andreas09:
I fully recommend this school, mwt many people and enjoyed scuba diving, Tulum and the bars in Playa, I attended an 8 week course and had a great time, my class has 3 students and was small, the other classes ( there were 3 more) had also small groups and also some families were given lessons in separate classrooms. Overall great value for money adn experience.

The owner of the school lives in Mexico City. It's in a condo w 2 rooms. They advertise that they have 5 or 6 levels, but there's only room for two classes. We left after week one. Many students left for the same reasons and several had gotten kicked out of their host families houses after they paid for WEEKS in advance. These student are out a lot of money and have no way of getting it back, got no education, and now need to pay for a new school and a new place to live. Do not go here. 1 star is way too high for this school.

Avoid this place like the plague! We had a week with this school and it was an absolute nightmare - 1 star is simply too good for some of these categories. First up, my wife and I were meant to be doing a homestay. We'd paid up fully months in advance and were finally given the accommodation details a few days before arriving - there was no address, just saying it was opposite Burger King on a certain block. There was also a phone number. Assuming it must be obvious, we didn't question it. The result was spending three hours walking around in the blistering heat, knocking on doors and asking everyone we could find. We even bought a phone card, rang the number numerous times, no answer. Eventually we cut our losses and went to a hotel. The next day we went to school with all our bags. The manager and main teacher was surprised and unapologetic. Later she reluctantly agreed to take us to the homestay. It turned out to be a motel, actually the first place we had asked but had been rudely refused help (three times in fact). We decided to go back to our hotel - which was cheaper and in the middle of town, rather than by the freeway on the outskirts of town as the motel was. The school agreed to refund us for the homestay, which they did quickly, but we obviously did not have the experience we had wanted. The lessons were also a joke. In total we had four teachers. Three were great, the manager (my main teacher) was useless - rude, unhelpful and simply not a good teacher. The school is basically a converted two-bedroom apartment which means they can't teach more than two levels of Spanish there at a time. My wife (and two other students) were beginners. Luckily they finally persuaded the manager that they weren't advanced and she agreed to organise a beginner's class! This was conducted across town on somebody's balcony/lounge. Often with no shade and normally with the home's residents also using the rooms during lessons. The travel time came out of the lessons time, which was 5 hours a week less than we were meant to be getting anyway due to another mix-up by the school. They refused to refund us for the hours of lessons we did not receive. Also, they have wifi, but only if you take your own computer/phone (and are not on the balcony across town!) - there aren't computers you can use. Their website is hugely misleading. Terrible place. Previous experiences I've had with language schools have been brilliant, so this is very disappointing - there must be better in Playa!

I loved this school, its very personal attention, the staff is very friendly and the teachers are great too. Groups are small and I felt like home.
