CRLA is owned and operated by Costa Ricans. This means first-hand access to understanding our customs and lifestyle. Welcome students from all over the world; variety of ages (18 to 70’s).

We use a variety of teaching techniques for quick, easy learning, regardless of your age, background or Spanish skills.
In order to teach at CRLA, we require that our Costa Rican professors have a university degree as well as ample practical experience.
* Location on east side of the city, nucleus for cultural activities; San Jose is transportation hub to visit all parts of the country .
During the week, students can enjoy city activities; on weekends you can easily travel to beaches on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, volcanoes, national parks, etc.
* Flexibility, personal service in a caring environment
You can start our programs any time year-round, study for as long as you want, for 3, 4, 5 or 6 hours/day. Programs include home stays with Costa Rican families, and at no additional cost - daily Latin dance classes, cooking lessons, extra conversation practices and Latin American songs.
