We use doler to talk about pain.
   Doler is irregular in the preterite.
     It uses indirect object pronouns.

Juan dice que le dolió la garganta.
      John says that his throat hurt.

A mí me dolió la cara.
      My face hurt.

¿Te dolió la muela?
      Did your tooth hurt?

A María le dolió el estómago.
      María's stomach hurt.

Le dije que a ella le dolió la espalda.
      I told you that her back hurt.

Me dolió el cuello.
      My neck hurt.

Ayer, me dolieron los pies.
      Yesterday, my feet hurt.

Sus palabras me dolieron mucho.
      Your words hurt me a lot.
